Ogden City Community and Economic Development (CED) wants citizens to continue to be a part of the MAKE Ogden plan as it moves forward. A series of public open houses aptly named “You MAKE Ogden,” will start Wednesday, February 22, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at historic Union Station.

This is an opportunity for the community to get monthly updates on the plans, progress and thoughts from city staff as “Episode 1” of the MAKE Ogden Master Plan continues. CED will offer balanced and objective information regarding MAKE Ogden to all those who attend these monthly open houses, but also invites the public to tell their story regarding MAKE Ogden every person plays a role in what makes Ogden City so great.
MAKE Ogden, adopted unanimously by the Ogden City Council back in 2020, follows six tenets with a goal of building sustainable economic vitality and enhancing the attractiveness of the city’s unique downtown. They are:
- Real Estate and Land Use
- Historic and Cultural Assets
- Transportation and Mobility
- Parks and Open Space
- Social Equity
- Essential Services
Episode 1 of this plan, including WonderBlock and a paid parking management system, will serve as a catalyst to the rest of MAKE Ogden as it reinforces the vibrancy of downtown and the uniqueness of 25th Street. WonderBlock will provide new housing and office/retail/hospitality space opportunities, highlight the historic assets of both 25th Street and Union Station, as well as provide open space and more transportation opportunities for Ogden residents.
